Born and raised in Vancouver, British Columbia by my immigrant Turkish parents but lived most of my adult life in the French cosmopolitan city of Montréal, Quebec. While both western and eastern Canada are wonderfully different, they have both impacted my life in a truly Canadian sense of being exposed to various types of cultures and peoples.

I've been living in Tokyo since 2020 as a full-time photographer, finished my MBA in Digital Business Transformation and opened a company in Japan www.tekumi.jp.

Through my photography I hope to convey and capture moments in time that others may have looked over, to show some form of wonder and art in the simple and mundane and to portray completely candid moments in time that might otherwise be lost or forgotten.
